Weatherization Program
District of Columbia Weatherization
The program provides funds to reduce heating and cooling costs for low-income families and to ensure their health and safety. The program provides repairs and improvements to home heating and cooling systems, and provides for the installation of energy-saving measures in the home.
"It is the intent of the Weatherization Program to foster a program that present, practical cost effective measures that can be undertaken to further the goal of conserving energy and using energy more efficiently. Conservation measures include, but are not limited to insulation, caulking, window replacement and furnace repairs."
"Priority is given to consumers that are sixty years of age and older, homeowners who are disabled and households with children"
